What Is Executive Coaching?

Executive coaching is a collaborative, goal-oriented process designed to enhance an individual's leadership capabilities, performance, and personal development within a professional context. It involves a confidential partnership between the coach and the client, focusing on self-awareness, strategic thinking, and effective action to achieve specific objectives.

As your coach, my role is to create space for you to bring your professional challenge, to reflect and ask questions and sometimes, where relevant, challenge your thinking in service of raising awareness and moving forward. 

What Executive Coaching Is Not

Executive coaching is distinct from consulting, mentoring, or therapy. Unlike consultants who provide solutions, coaches facilitate clients in discovering their own answers.

Coaching is future-focused and aims to unlock potential rather than address psychological issues as one would in a therapeutic setting. I contract with my clients at the start of every session to ensure boundaries are clear and that the EMCC code of ethics is upheld.

How I Work as Your Coach

My role as your coach is to support you in making meaningful career changes and unlocking your full potential. Rather than offering advice or instructions, I create a space for you to think through challenges, explore new perspectives, and gain clarity on your next steps. Through thoughtful questioning, reflection, and when appropriate, challenging thought processes, I’ll help you uncover your own solutions while equipping you with the confidence and skills to move forward. 

Every person is unique with different goals in mind so I don’t tend to follow rigid frameworks or one-size-fits-all solutions. We will use a Discovery Session to define your focus areas and goals. From there, our sessions are shaped around your evolving needs, priorities, and what’s most important to you at that moment.
